Blending the spirit of original Rock And Roll with timeless storytelling, WAYFORD WEST create powerful and melodic guitar anthems. Their music is shaped by the aesthetics and attitude of the ’50s, the melodies of the ’60s, and the sound of the ’70s.
Founded in Fulda, a small town in Germany, the band’s journey began in 2022 as a studio project. The EPs The Berlin Tapes (2022) and The Rangeland Sessions (2023) laid the foundation for their signature style — somewhere between cinematic highway romance and the search for meaning.
During the concert series The Good, The Mad And The Unplugged, the songs were performed live for the first time, in an acoustic pub version. Since 2026, the band has been performing on stage in full lineup: Maximilian Schmidt (vocals, guitar), Julian Müller (drums), Florin Pfeffermann (guitar, vocals) and Lucas Brenzel (bass, vocals).
The debut album In Search Of The Blue Moon captures the very essence of WAYFORD WEST. Rooted in melodic rock and roll and driven by cinematic storytelling, the eight tracks take listeners on a journey through themes of adventure, longing, and the search for one’s true path. Each song unfolds like a chapter, blending emotion and atmosphere into a sound that’s both timeless and bold. The album was produced together with Max Derkum at JB Studios in Königswinter.With their current In Search Of The Blue Moon 2025/26 concert series, the band is proving that they stand for more than just rock music:

WAYFORD WEST verbinden das Lebensgefühl des ursprünglichen Rock And Roll mit zeitlosem Storytelling und erschaffen daraus kraftvolle und melodische Gitarren-Hymnen. Ihre Musik ist geprägt von der Ästhetik und dem Lebensgefühl der 50er, den Melodien der 60er und dem Sound der 70er Jahre.
Gegründet im hessischen Fulda, begann die Reise der Band 2022 zunächst als Studioprojekt. Mit den EPs The Berlin Tapes (2022) und The Rangeland Sessions (2023) legten WAYFORD WEST den Grundstein für ihren charakteristischen Stil – zwischen filmreifer Highway-Romantik und der Suche nach Bestimmung.
Unter dem Motto The Good, The Mad And The Unplugged wurden die Songs erstmals live präsentiert, zunächst in einer akustischen Pub-Version. Seit 2026 ist die Band in voller Besetzung auf den Bühnen zu erleben: Maximilian Schmidt (Gesang, Gitarre), Julian Müller (Schlagzeug), Florin Pfeffermann (Gitarre, Gesang) und Lucas Brenzel (Bass, Gesang).
Das Debütalbum In Search Of The Blue Moon bringt die musikalische und thematische Essenz von WAYFORD WEST auf den Punkt. Die acht Songs erzählen Geschichten von Abenteuerlust, Fernweh und der Suche nach Identität – verpackt in melodischen Rock And Roll. Produziert wurde das Album gemeinsam mit Max Derkum in den JB Studios in Königswinter.
Mit ihrer aktuellen Konzertreihe In Search Of The Blue Moon 2025/26 beweist die Band, dass sie für mehr steht als Rock-Musik:
